A sports documentary is never just about the sport. It’s about the journey - and that journey needs a structure. Real life - especially sports - is messy. Events don’t unfold in a perfectly structured way. Without a clear narrative arc, even the most thrilling sports moments can feel aimless or flat.

Narrative arcs are what give a documentary heart, tension, and meaning. As the editor, I’m the architect of that journey. I decide how the audience experiences it - what they feel, when they feel it, and why it matters.
